A New Season Indeed

It seems like this season thing has gripped me!

Every season has a time period attached. To every time period there is a season latched. Then faith works the wonders of God. And His works are displayed for His Glory.

God has designed our world perfectly. We need to understand ‘time’ and ‘season’. If we do, then we can move into the things of God quickly and not waste our lives, our seasons and also our time. We can do more, see more, love more and accomplish more than we ever did. God can do more in ten minutes, than you can do in ten years.

Moses understood that very well. He spent forty years with Egypt, learning their ways. The next forty years he spent with his people, learning their ways. And finally God used Moses to do the only thing he was taught to do…free his people! Amongst the most stubborn and stiff-necked people Moses’ third season was fulfilled in God. Seasons come and seasons go, someone said. But what we do and accomplish in God will finally stand out in our lives.

Look at David! Note his season with his own family, then his season with Saul, then his season of rejection and then finally his season of triumph. David eventually after mistakes and gross errors finished his season by giving all to the House of God.

And then what can we say about…Gideon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection: And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth (Heb 11)…they understood that times and seasons fitted together and faith, great faith was the amazing outcome to accomplish the Kingdom’s purposes on earth!

So it is with us!

God can fit right into our Gregorian calendar, but the key is for us to fit into His ‘Calendar’. When He determines what happens. In our age of quick fixes and fast food and cars and everything, we need to catch a glimpse of God’s ways and His doings. If we miss that we miss all.

Nothing happens quickly. Of course God has His ‘suddenlies’. But all these ‘suddenlies’ are God ordained and come in His timings  and right seasons if you will study the Bible carefully.

So let me share three vitals things the Lord is showing me for you this time.

Firstly, there are God’s divine appointments waiting for you. All you need to do is recognise the season, have faith and receive what God has. Secondly, when God’s divine appointments and time collide, the point of that collision is like an atomic explosion that brings forth the workings of God in the domain of man. No enemy can come against that or even stop that. Finally, stay focused. Stay strong. Stay in the Word and don’t give up no matter what. God never gives up on us! So why must we give up on Him.

Let me close with what Daniel said in his prayer that changed history forever. Daniel 2:21,22 says… And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him. KJV.

Go for it! God’s fresh time and season is upon you!
