PORN AND THE DEMONIC REALM

A little long…but truly worth it!

Very early in my Christian life the Lord opened my eyes to see and understand the demonic reality that exists in our world.

I came from a background of drugs and the occult, and when I received Jesus as Saviour the Lord revealed more of His Spirit to me.

I remember in my school days, peeking into black and white photos and porn books that many students would bring to class. This was all ‘new’ to me personally and I couldn’t believe that this world actually existed. I remember those images ‘staying’ in my head for a long time afterwards. And I confess my own struggles as a young believer.

In 2 Kings 6, the prophet Elisha prays to the Lord that the eyes of his servant may be opened, so that he may see the spiritual realities surrounding them.

When God supernaturally opened his servant’s eyes, the servant suddenly saw the spiritual realities that lay beyond normal human sight. We read in the Bible, that this really ‘blew’ this servant’s mind and thus he understood the realm of the Spirit.

Last month, three young Christians shared with me about their struggle with watching porn, and their usual habit of going on to visit those websites habitually. There was one young man who told me that he was ashamed so much and couldn’t really handle his Christian life.

The porn industry today is literally the Kingdom of Darkness at work in the lives of men and women. There is also a huge supernatural element to porn addiction, which involves spiritual bondage, extreme guilt and a sense of failure and rejection, and in some cases even suicide. Will-power alone is not enough to break this prevailing hold on individual lives. Let me tell you, it takes the mighty work of the Word of God and His Holy Spirit.

In Psalm 101:3, David said “I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.”

Over the last month I have talked to several church leaders and also other elders who I look to. I fully agree with them and I will share some things with you right away.

Anyone involved in the occult will tell you that drug use provides a direct gateway to the spiritual realm. Drugs are directly tied to sorcery in the Bible, and most pagan cultures use drugs in their religious rituals which heighten spiritual awareness, and the demonic realm. I know this for sure, that on a porn set, drugs and alcohol are used to dull the senses of the people enacting the stuff, making them more willing to do things that a normal person in an average state of mind would never do.

It is common knowledge, and I know that first hand, that drug use makes a person more susceptible to demonic influence. That is why porn actors have their senses numbed by drugs and alcohol.

It is here on these sets that multiple demons gather together. The people on the set and the shoot are completely oblivious to the spiritual inner workings going on deep in their own personal spirit.

The more they do this, the more they open up themselves to increased demonic influence that wreck their lives in the days to come, and anyone involved with the occult will tell you that the more you open up to this stuff, the more demons will enter in to stay.

So those that are involved with porn are under the control of wicked entities. These entities will numb them to any sense of spiritual awareness in the Word or the Holy Spirit.

Revenge porn, bestiality, orgies or rave…whatever it is…porn users have their moral compass completely shifted, and their view of sexuality as it relates to others and themselves is highly abnormal. They do not hold a healthy view of themselves, others, or life in general leaves a huge wide-open door for Satan to come in and completely deceive them.

Throughout the Scriptures, we are warned about the craftiness of Satan, and how he uses deception to lure people away from God. Satan uses a lot of deception to lure them into porn.  

The Devil basically works through two dimensions. They are direct demonic influence and deep deception. Due to this their consumption of pornography grows more and more. A lot of time is spent watching porn. Let me tell you…every video watched becomes a direct gateway for demonic influence and control to come into the life of the watcher.

It will infiltrate life and home. This in turn allows  Satan to gain a strongholds in life and lifestyle. Watching porn is the same as dabbling in witchcraft and we are not to take the demonic realm lightly, ever. These are the same demons…the demons of control, manipulation and separation from true fellowship and purity.

The truth is that a few moments of carnal pleasure becomes an open invite to Satan and his minions. Pornography works to destroy the lives of men, children and those watching – whether it is those who produce it, and those who consume it.

No wonder…

Nearly half of children between the ages of 9-16 experience regular exposure to sexual images.

Young males are more likely than females to deliberately seek out pornography and to do so frequently.

Pornography use can shape sexual practices and is associated with unsafe sexual health practices such as not using condoms and unsafe anal and vaginal sex.

Anne Longfield, Children’s Commissioner for England, said it was worrying that many children were exposed to pornography.

“Only now are we beginning to understand its impact on ‘smartphone kids’ – the first generation to have been raised with technology that’s taken the internet from the front room, where parents can monitor use, to their bedrooms or the playground, where they can’t,” she said.

“We know from the research that very many children are shocked, confused or disgusted by what they see, and it is our duty to help them to question, challenge and make sense of it.”

NSPCC chief executive Peter Wanless said: “A generation of children are in danger of being stripped of their childhoods at a young age by stumbling across extreme and violent porn online.

Let me close with Genesis 4:7, the New International Version, “If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.” The only way for victory is the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit.
