As I read the Book of Proverbs afresh, the Word of God, which is so pure at all times, strikes you with a sledgehammer force. You can’t help it but take speedy notice at what the Holy Spirit brings to your attention. So here goes…

Proverbs 2:1-s says…My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.

Tucked away in the nooks of this fantastic verse are life-giving series of ‘if thou’. Can you see them? That really caught my spirit this morning. Now I’m on a roller-coaster ride to higher and deeper longings to grasp with all my might the ‘Great Eight’ mentioned here.

I have decided to let you figure out the Great Eight. It would be so easy for me to tell you all eight, and then you will probably go… ‘ahaa!’ but I won’t.

I have learned one thing. When searching for anything lost you have to learn to uncover and go deeper into clearing all the clutter around. When the clutter clears, and the object of your arduous search is suddenly found…then a new joy fills you. And I desire that this happens to you.

So, look carefully, search thoroughly, and then discover joyfully. Whoa!

I guess that’s how Solomon himself learned. Walk in his steps and discover the myriad mountains of God’s wisdom enter your very souls.

Blessings always!
