C’MON…NOT A BABY!
Two thousand years ago, God executed a ‘Master Plan’!
And He used a baby born to a simple virgin in a small almost unknown town.
Then God began an irreversible change upon the whole of mankind forever.
This Master Plan crosses over the borders of nations, overcomes the suppression of castes, the traditions of creeds and the bias of colour. This crosses over man’s deceitful philosophies, his worldly thinking, his own religion and his fleeting ideas. This defies manmade strategies and unsettles his self-glorifying plans.
Eden and Adam could not change this Master Plan. Satan cannot alter it. The Law cannot fulfil it. Man’s wisdom stands impossible to attain it. And world leaders with their personal agendas cannot achieve it.
This Master Plan still changes hearts. Forever frees us from bondages. Always destroys the power of evil. And sets men free to understand their Maker and fulfil their destiny here on earth.
Before the foundations of the earth. Before the creation of man. Before anything made that was made…God the Father, had Jesus the Lamb slain for our sins.
Here is the plan. Simple but profound.
Jesus said, “you must be Born Again.” The prophet said, “draw nigh to God.” Paul said, “Christ in you the hope of glory.” John said, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God”.
Jesus gave Himself willingly on the cross, to become the propitiation for our sins so when we believe on Him we do not perish but have everlasting life.
Yesterday I saw my wife lovingly stand in the kitchen for hours and produce some amazing Christmas preparations for us all, especially for our grandchildren. In spite of such a busy schedule we have, our home is sparkling with lights and decorations.
We celebrate the birth of this little baby in Bethlehem, where God tenderly reveals His Master Plan. Our Saviour and Lord is coming back to take us home and then judge the world that lies in darkness, in spite of the Truth given to them over the ages.
The redemption of humanity was not an afterthought or a remedy for something gone wrong in Eden. Jesus was always God’s perfect and loving Master Plan.
So, God did not use an army. He did not use a nation. He did not use a bunch of sages and wise men. He used a baby!
This season, a tiny baby can make all the difference in your life.
Shalom!
