THE DAYS OF NOAH…10

 

Evil has been increasing on the earth at break-neck speed!

This morning I just saw a raw footage of a young man being beheaded by militants. Blatant YouTube videos are being shot and uploaded on the Internet like advertisements. When children are being beheaded, women and babies raped and then shot…man has gone below the standards of animal behaviour, and when men reach such levels of blood lust there is no stopping them…I was sick for a while after I watched this video.

God is angry!

The ‘Days of Noah’ have arrived in full view. Jesus spoke about these last days. There are over 65 countries in conflict and over 550 militant groups involved with today’s war. This is more serious than the World Wars gone by.

Of late in my study of the Hebrew letters, and the language, I am learning far more than I ever knew. I am also doing ‘midrashic’ study of the Bible. This is the way the Rabbis taught and explained the Scriptures.

Look at 2 Chron 13:22

And the rest of the acts of Abijah, and his ways, and his sayings, are written in the story of the prophet Iddo.

The word ‘story’ is actually the Hebrew word ‘midrash’ (Strong’s h4097) which means with proper investigation, an elaborate compilation and an exegetical exposition of a didactic nature. The term ‘midrash’ designates an exegesis which, going more deeply than the mere literal sense, attempts to penetrate into the spirit of the Scriptures, to examine the text from all sides, and thereby to derive interpretations which are not immediately obvious.

Some Rabbis say that this is actually an exposition, which is compared to a hammer that strikes and awakens the slumbering sparks in the rock.

Having said that let’s go on…

We go to Gen 4:18 where we learn that Methusael was the first to be called a Canaanite. Methusael was the third from Enoch, after the line of Cain. The Canaanites were a mixed race of people who would later become the embodiment of every evil and wicked desire of Satan.

Then evil began to be spread all over the earth like wild fire. Cain’s sons became true vagabonds. They were Irad, Mehujael and Methusael. Since the land was already cursed for them, these men began to hunt and kill, taking anything they wanted. Man became like the beasts of that day.

Then comes Lamech. This fellow became bold and defiant in the face of God. Lamech was a cold-blooded killer and practiced polygamy. From his two wives Lamech birthed three sons: Jabal, Jubal and Tubal-Cain.

Now the Bible mentions women’s names only if they were very virtuous or very evil and must be avoided. The Bible cites both of Lamech’s wives, namely, Adah and Zillah. Let’s take note here that something very abnormal was going on. Something out of the ordinary. Something not desirable and not in the plans of God. Something so sinister it would have worldwide ramification to the then known world.

You must know that Cain carried corrupted and rebellious seed, and anything that came down that lineage had to be the same. It is here that Lamech makes a blasphemous statement: Gen 4:23, 24.

Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice; ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: For I have slain a man to my wounding, And a young man to my hurt.

If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, Truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold

Lamech made a declaration. He was greater than Cain in his wickedness. It so seems that evil had multiplied more than seventy-seven levels at that time. Lamech’s sons moved in the same cursed lifestyle full of lies, murder, and death.

When we read on in the book of Genesis we begin to see the perversion of music, and idolatry and perverted animal sacrifice. Tubal-Cain means ‘flowing like his father’. You don’t have to think too far on that! Tubal-Cain was a master craftsman, a metal smith and began to teach weaponry for war and dominance.

As we read on in the book of Genesis…these three sons of Lamech became skillful in music, medicine, animal husbandry and metals.

How did they gain these skills? From where did the ability to mine metals, forge them and design armaments come? How was music so perverted? From where did the knowledge of herbs and man’s interaction with animals come?

All these skills and many others came by the help of angelic visitors.

Don’t be surprised…man became depraved, degenerate in his mind and will. The earth was getting ready for judgment.

It is the same today…!
