I’ve Been Thinking…

I’ve been thinking…

In the last twenty years or more in most secular universities, truth is no longer seen as an absolute that can be pursued and discovered. Especially in the fields of philosophy and religion truth is distorted, ill defined and deformed to a high extent. It is true that truth is also compromised and biased with bombastic words clandestinely concealed behind a veil of seemingly great thinking.

Since the parameters of absolutes have been removed from the arena of human events, the world of reason has today been turned upside down. Right has become wrong, and wrong has become right! A new humanism has emerged. Victim mentality rules the day. Common sense is destroyed, as there is no God to answer to.

But there is an eternal, unchanging and absolute Lawgiver who does not vary in His righteousness and His values. The Bible is his Word and the Holy Spirit is His Presence among us. That is why the Bible stands as a fulcrum, a pivot, and a mainstay that cannot be shifted.

Why is the Word of God so import to the Church today?

Because God’s Word still has the power to convict men of their sin and turn to God through true repentance.

Because God’s Word still has the power to lead men to the Cross of Calvary and be Born Again.

Because God’s Word still has the power to open the fuddled minds of men to the Glory of God to take then to Eternity.

Because God’s Word still is personal for each one of us, and His love is revealed through Jesus.

Because…it never ends to meet every need of man, both in this world and the next!

Get back to the Bible. You will never regret that.

Here is a warning for those that turn and twist the Truth…

The leaders of Judah are like men who move boundary stones; I will pour my fury out upon them like water. Hosea 5:10
