Where is the Gospel?

I am troubled!

In my personal time with God today, I heard His voice again! The time is short. The day is almost done. The urgency of God’s heart is clear and present.

Where oh! Where has the Gospel gone? If Jesus were to preach the same things many are preaching today, He would never have been crucified.

We preach a safe Gospel. We don’t talk about sin. We have any number of definitions and arguments and can out-talk anyone. Our so-called ‘scholarly’ insights seem to counteract and nullify God’s Holy Word. Professing ourselves to be wise, we become fools, and change the glory of our incorruptible God to silly things. But. His Word is forever established in the Heavens.

We preach a watered-down, weak and leg-less Gospel. We hover on men’s philosophies and stories. We compare the conclusions of what men have co

me to. We boast about achievements that merit our wisdom and experience. But. Heaven and earth can pass away but His Word will not pass away.

We preach a happy-flappy Gospel. It does not rend our hearts. It does not bring contriteness and conviction and Godly sorrow. It does not turn us away from error.  It does not burn the dross of lasciviousness. It takes us away from the real Cross and allows us to cross God’s boundaries. It makes us ‘enjoy’ the phase of this life with false promises of Heaven. But. His Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our pathway.

We preach a false Gospel. We preach something that is alien to God’s Word. This false Gospel makes us rich overnight. This false Gospel makes us famous and fastidious, so no one can question us. We are not accountable to anyone. We can do our own ‘thing’. Our own private doctrine. Our way. But. Jesus said…Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life!

Where oh! Where has the Gospel gone?

Preach the True Gospel. C’mon, get up! Let’s go! The time has come.

“God hates the lukewarm Gospel of half-truths that is now spreading over the Globe. This gospel says, ‘Just believe in Jesus and you’ll be Saved. There’s nothing more to it.’ It ignores the Whole Counsel of God, which speaks of Repenting from former Sins, of Taking up your Cross, of being conformed to the Image of Christ by the refining work of the Holy Spirit. It is totally silent about the Reality of Hell and an After-Death Judgment.”…
