Soon Approaching Hoofbeats!
So much is happening around us. So much is happening within us. And so much is happening in the heavens.
The times are dangerous, perturbing and downright worrying. Earth is quaking and the heavens are shaking. Suddenly upon us are rogue governments owning nuclear centrifuges, chemical weapons, ethnic killings and beheadings shown on YouTube, lawlessness, corruption of the highest kind, drug peddling involving governments, serial lying, and you name it!
Even within the church the shaking comes. Mega churches crumbling with serious leadership issues, relationships that are decaying as quickly as the wind blows dry leaves away, and grim doctrinal problems that become seeker sensitive, compromising and veering away from Divine Truth.
Can you hear the hoof beats? The approaching horsemen of Rev 6 are brining with them cryptic messages of doom! There are unexplained horrors that will be revealed. These will be unleashed upon the world without warning.
The first horseman rides a white horse…Come and see. And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer…Rev. 6:1-2.
Jesus reveals the meaning of the white horse. Jesus is speaking in both Matthew 24 and Revelation 6. He is addressing the very same questions in both chapters. He answers by listing, in time sequence and order.
The exact parallel Matt 24 and Rev 6 is mind blowing… And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in My name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
The white horse that John described represents false Christs. The counterfeit. The lie. False religion. The Antichrist.
The glaring difference is in Revelation 19. There the real Christ wields a sharp two-edged sword, while the false Christ is represented as carrying a bow. Do not miss this critical difference!
The second horseman rides a red horse.
And when He had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword…Rev. 6:3-4.
The sword here is depicted as an instrument of war and killing. Imagine the number of beheadings these last two years…all over the Middle East! This rider takes away peace from the earth, when peace is removed…war remains! Therefore this is a season of wars and rumours of wars.
False religion will lead to serious and deadly warfare. Killing for ethnic differences with geographical alliances is common today.
Hey! The war of the century is almost upon us.
If you study patterns of past wars over the earth…famines is always the result.
That is why the third horseman rides a black horse.
This is a symbol of famine!
And when He had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see you hurt not the oil and the wine…Rev. 6:5-6.
You don’t have to search much. Google will tell you in a matter of a mouse-click the famines that are on the earth.
The last and final horseman rides a pale horse. This is so symbolic of pestilence and disease.
…And when He had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death—and Hell [meaning, the grave] followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth [one in every four people], to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth…Rev. 6:7-8.
This horse is depicted as pale because it is sickly.
It obviously represents disease—pestilence! Invariably, war leads to famine—and resulting malnutrition leads to disease. New diseases, or old ones grown worse, are appearing almost daily.
Dark times are ahead of us…!
Therefore we need one another. We need to join together and worship and share and build up each other in Christian love. We need community and commonality.
We need the faithful and the strong. We need people who can discern doctrine and the times.
God brings us together for this purpose.
Shalom!
