THE SNAPPING RUBBER BAND
Our physics teacher in school brought a rubber band to teach us how it can snap back to shape because of the materials it was made up of. When he strained on it hard, and kept doing that, it snapped.
The truth we learned is that a rubber band can only stretch so far before it snaps, so with the same illustration, world events could only continue so long before the Tribulation period explodes across the earth.
Early this year I had a kind of a ‘warning’ dream about the horses of the Book of Revelation raring to go. Revelation 6:1-8. They were straining on their reins as the riders had a tough time keeping them still. It was as if they were waiting for a command to plunge forward. The background sounds in my dream had hideous screams and cries that scared me. The colours of the sky kept changing from grey to almost black to red.
This dream overwhelmed me to such an extent that I thought the Lord would come and the rapture would occur that week. I was wrong. The Lord is still waiting. And deceitfulness, wars, famine, and much death are still happening, even getting worse.
The recent rape and murder at a Kolkata Hospital, and so many more catching the news in our country daily, is proof that human decadence and morals are rotting like piled up garbage, that emanates filthiness and smut into those that dare to come close.
Only demon possessed men can rape, sexually abuse children and murder with viciousness that comes from the pit of Hell. Democracy is good, but democracy cannot heal and restore the evil of the human heart. It must be the power of the Cross and the Name of Jesus.
In 2 Thessalonians 2:7-8, in the Message version is very poignantly written.
7 That doesn’t mean that the spirit of anarchy is not now at work. It is, secretly and underground.
8 But the time will come when the Anarchist will no longer be held back, but will be let loose. But don’t worry.
This is Paul writing under the prophetic unction, and today we are closer that we can ever think!
The truth is that the Restrainer, the Holy Spirit, who is currently working through the Church to block the revealing of the antichrist and restrain the lawlessness that will accompany his unveiling to the world: “… Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming.” NIV.
The many signs are unmistakable, but God will make sure that we are safe in the arms of Jesus before all hell breaks loose on earth. That is what I believe.
The soon coming World War will be deadlier that any wars we have heard of, even in the past centuries. The Middle East is terrifying and will get worse by the day. As Ukraine, with NATO expertise, equipment, and training, continues to strike deep into Russian territory, these unsaved Russian leaders continue to warn that such actions will lead to a nuclear war, which would contribute to the enormous death toll.
A great many people, including me, expected a major war to occur in the Middle East weeks ago, but so far, the fighting hasn’t reached that level.

Another writer, Mark Hitchcock, in a piece that appeared on Harbinger’s Daily, considered the possibility that God had used a recent earthquake in Syria to thwart an all-out attack on Israel.
In July of 592BC when Ezekiel had a vision of the “throne-chariot” of God. He subsequently prophesied until 585 and then is not heard of again until 572BC.
Ezekiel’s ministry occurred during a difficult time for the nation of Israel. It had been taken into captivity in Babylon, and Jerusalem was about to fall because of the sinfulness of the Jewish leaders and people. Despair was the order of the day. Amid this situation, God called Ezekiel to speak for Him. More than that, Ezekiel ‘saw’ the last days!
Ezekiel predicted that an alliance of nations would invade Israel in the end times (chapters 38-39). The players are aligned exactly as he prophesied, but the time has not yet come yet.
We must wait and see.
Putin has been clamoring and becoming increasingly vocal recently, for a two-state division of Israel, which perhaps speaks to his future involvement in the Gog-Magog war.
It is amazing that John, on the island of Patmos, also witnessed – the “black horse” and its rider (Revelation 6:5-6).
This is the time to be watching, knowing that His appearing to take us home is imminent. From my personal perspective, we are already living on borrowed time.
The rubber band I mentioned at the beginning has been stretched beyond what I think is possible, and perhaps very soon, will snap, and the “sudden destruction” of the Day of the Lord will fall upon those left behind after our departure in the ‘Harpadzo’ the catching away of the Saints!
